EME NJOKU: Nguru/Umuowa Community Presents Eze-elect to Ngor Okpala LG Boss

The people of Nguru/Umuowa Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State on Monday, formally presented their newly elected traditional ruler, Chief Eme Njoku, to the Chairman, Interim Management Committee, IMC, of Ngor Okpala, Hon. Mayor Obinna Nweke and his team at the council headquarters, Umuneke.

The community delegation led by Presidents-General
of Nguru and Umuowa Town Unions comprised of Chiefs, Ndi Nze and prominent sons and daughters, women, youths and cultural dance troupes made presentation Monday following the emergence of Dr Njoku as the winner of last weekend’s Ezeship Election in the community.

The members representing Isu state constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Ngozi Obiefule has debunked a publication by an Owerri based Newspaper (not Nigeria Newspoint), alleging that she had raised an alarm over the purported missing of the member, representing Ideato North in the state legislature, Hon. Arthur Egwim and also attributing the disappearance of Egwim to suspension by House leadership and masterminding all suspensions.

Ukraine: Air Peace deploys aircraft to evacuate Nigerians

Air Peace airline has deployed its aircraft to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Europe following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The airline’s spokesman, Mr Stanley Olisa, said this in a statement in Lagos on Thursday. “This is the first batch of Nigerians to be evacuated since the war broke out. “The aircraft departed Nigeria at 2.20 a.m. today, March 3, 2022, for Warsaw, Poland,” said the statement.
