Oil thieves attack NSCDC operatives in Bayelsa

The Bayelsa government on Thursday condemned the attack on operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state by suspected oil thieves. The condemnation was contained in a press statement issued by Mr Doubara Atasi, Senior Special Assistant to Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Eghrwudjakpor. The Bayelsa State Government has confirmed the receipt of N27.5billion infrastructure refund from the Federal Government as against N38 billion being speculated.
