The Parish priest of St Columbus Catholic Church, Amaimo community in  Ikeduru LGA of Imo state has allegedly shot and  killed a young worshipper who was said to had  been throwing  pyrotechnics popularly known as fireworks or knock out during the new year church service. A coalition of civil society organisations has written to the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), asking him to mount pressure on the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), to withdraw all the criminal charges filed against human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi.
