The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced a shift in date of the planned sit-at-home from Sunday the May 30 to Monday, May 31. The group said the shift of date followed genuine observations about its earlier directive as many of its people observed Sundays as day of worship. Tragedy struck on Thursday evening along Owerri – Onitsha in Eziama Obiato Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, as one of the bullets fired by some jubilating soldiers at the army checkpoint at Ukwu Orji hit a woman in the community.
