The People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidate for Saturday election, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has alleged that governor Senator Hope Uzodinma has plunged the state into N217bn debt profile.
According to the erst while Ikeduru LGA chairman, Uzodinma has failed in all aspects of human development in the state. “He failed in Security, Economy,Rural roads, Education,Health, Agriculture,Job creation and many other landmarks of democracy dividends.
Speaking to newsmen in his campaign office, Owerri,yesterday, Sen.Anyanwu noted that Imo is the 13th on the debt index of Nigeria in terms of indebtedness, adding that Imolites should make sure he doesn’t come back again as Governor before he destroys the state.
He noted that the Imo citizens have since lost confidence in the leadership of Uzodinma, noting especially that no single asphalted road can be found in the rural areas apart from the Orlu and Okigwe roads belonging Federal Government.
The former Owerri Zone Senator revealed that whithin his campaign period, he had discovered that over 2000 Imolites have lost their lives with 800 houses burnt across the state on account of insecurity.
The Ikeduru-born politician revealed that the man to fix Imo is around the corner, stressing that he has the capacity to fix the battered economy and checkmate insecurity in the state based on his experience as a grassroots politician.
