The Attorney of the FUTO Host Communities, Chief Sam Anokam has stated that they will actually acquire justice at the end of their matter with the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). He made this known to newsmen while clearing the air in some certain issues recently.
Anokam noted that he has the mandate of the FUTO host communities to pursue the matter of incomplete acquisition of land by FUTO, adding that he is following the issue through due process.
While saying that some group of people have told the traditional rulers of the host communities to back out from him on the matter which they didn’t do according to him, he also noted that he was determined to achieve success on the matter.
” This is the matter I have putting my personal money, energy and time as a matter of fact, I must do my best to get justice as it is coming to an end” Anokam submitted.
He maintained that he has been fighting for justice for many years over incomplete acquisition of their ancestral land by FUTO, stressing that nothing will make him to turn his back on the matter, especially now that it is coming to an end and the host Communities are about to get justice.
Iam comfortable with my professional work and I’m contented with what I have; nobody from FUTO, State or Federal Government can buy me over on this issue, Chief Anokam stated.
He hinted that the other time, FUTO went to the National Assembly for their fencing without disclosing the real facts to them, they ( the host communities) try their best to stop their plans, noting that they are quite ready to pursue the matter to any level.
The Estate surveyor said that FUTO is under investigation by the IGP monitoring team, maintaining that the matter is still in court and they have not stopped in following the matter in due process.
Insisting that what he wants is justice, Chief Anokam also stated that FUTO and their cohort have tried their best through all possible means to push him out of the scheme but they didn’t succeed.
