Amankuta eV Project Hands Over 5-Room Lockup Shop To Aladinma Women.

A Non-Governmental Organization,NGO, Amankuta eV Project has built and handed over a 5-room lock up store to Amankuta women in Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State.

The group was founded in Germany in 1989 by a Nigerian couple, Emmanuel and Brigitte Onyeali. The project was done in honour and respect to the wishes of a deceased member in the board of trustees, Frau Marianne Maerz.

According to a statement from the country coordinator of the organization, Mrs. Roseline Nwagwu which reads thus:

“Frau Marianne Maerz was a member in the Board of Trustees of Amankuta eV organization, Filderstadt-Stuttgart, Germany. She contributed greatly to the growth of the organization both financially and volunteering her services.

“She took ill early 2021 but sadly on the third of November, 2023 she passed on.

Prior to her demise she requested that all monetary aid for and after her burial be given as charity to Amankuta eV women project.

“Thus the 5-rooms lock up store was built in her memory by the Amankuta eV organization. The completed building was handed over to the Aladimma Women Association Amankuta under the leadership of late president, Mrs. Rather Aku on the second of March, 2024”, the statement concluded.

During the unveiling ceremony the Acting President General of Amankuta, Mr Ishmael Okereke expressed gratitude to God and to the organization for their kindness in donating the project.

The President Home and Abroad Women; Mrs Esther Aku also promised that the best use would be made of the project.

In her speech, the Country coordinator, Mrs Roseline Nwagwu remarked that this was in fulfillment of a wish expressed by a trustee member who gave so much love and sacrifice to the organization.

The women beautifully attired in their uniforms expressed joy over the donation.

It must be noted that the NGO had in the past constructed bore hole for the community, provided scholarship scheme, built a Solar power energy supply, ICT Center in Amankuta Community Primary School for the students, a library, support to the disabled and less privileged people as well as agro processing mills among others.

It would be recalled that late Mr Emma Onyeali was an indigene of Amankuta Mbieri,  Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, Nigeria and lived in Germany for a long time.

He was dedicated to supporting and advancing humanity. He demonstrated great love for his community by supporting them with these projects which his wife, Mrs Brigitte Onyeali  continued after his transition.
