In what may be described as seeming overzealousness as well as a shocker and embarrassment to Hon Kelechi Ofurum, the member representing Owerri North in the Imo House of Assembly, the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Compliance, Hon Chinasa Nwaneri was allegedly said to have embarrassed the Owerri North legislator
Hon. Ofurum, pulling him away from the convoy of the speaker of the state assembly during the governor ‘s thanksgiving at Omuma, weekend.
Nwaneri, it was learnt allegedly prevented
the Owerri North Imo House of Assembly member, Hon Ofurum from entering into the reception hall with the Speaker ,Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe during the Governor’s thanksgiving service at his home town Omuma, Oru East LGA.
It was further learnt that Hon. Ofurum was shocked and apparently angered by the said action of the Governor’s aide, wondering what must have prompted Hon. Nwaneri to behave the way he did.
Meanwhile, it was also gathered that the Owerri North Imo House of Assembly member, Hon Ofurum has vowed to get to the root of possible reason for such alleged blatant disrespect to the deputy chief whip of Imo House of Assembly by the governor’s aide.
It will be recalled that during the weekend, Governor Uzodinma held a thanks-giving service to appreciate God’s mercies and organised a reception for guests, friends and well-wishers who attended the event at his country home where the unfortunate scenario happened.
