Autonomous communities, Town unions and all other social and political associations in Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA have been advised to be peaceful in the conduct of their activities to ensure accelerated development in the area.
The executive chairman of the local government, Chief Larry Chikwe gave the advice when a group of Umuhuocha Obohia autonomous community and Nnarambia Development Union came for the official presentations of their Eze-elect and President General, Chief Paul Obasi and Barrister Charles Onyirimba respectively.
In a release by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Dr. Nnorom Emecheta, Chief Chikwe maintained that without peace and unity among the people, there would be no meaningful progress and development in the various communities that make up Ahiazu LGA.
While appealing to the people of Umuhuocha Obohia autonomous community to conduct the election or selection of whoever would emerge as the substantive traditional ruler of the community with decorum and brotherly love, Chief Chikwe, on the other hand, commended members of Nnarambia Development Union for conducting peaceful election that led to the emergence of Barrister Charles Onyirimba as President General.
