Dignatories Storm Osun As Imo Tiger Base Commander Fulfiled  Father’s Burial Right*

The date, April 5, 2025, will forever remain evergreen in the minds of Osun indigenes especially, in the ancient town of Modakeke.

It was a day set aside for the the final Burial Ceremony of Alhaji Ahmada Tijani  Adewale Odeyeyiwa, the Aare of  Musulumi of Modakeke who was also the father of CSP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, the Commander of Tiger Base .A special intervention unit of Imo State Police Command.

The 41-days prayer and final ceremony of this great man started with a prayer at Modakeke Civic Centre which served as the venue of the occasion.The prayer session was led by Alhaji Uzomat Idris Animasaun, the Imam Agba of Modakekeland and Modakeke Central Mosque.

Other notable Islamic leaders that led the prayer session are Alhaji As Sheikh Sulaiman Faruq Onikijipa Almiskeenu Billahi, the Grand Mufti Of Ilorin Emirate, Fodilajul Shelkh Muhammad Hadi Abduraheem Araoyo, THE Chief Imam of Adebimpe Central Mosque, Araromi Oyo State, Sheikh Muhydeen Adebayo Lawal(Aranse), the Grand Chief Imam of Ewekoro Local Government Area, Sheikh Abdulrafiu Ibrahim, Missioner Lutfullah Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdul Rasheed Arowana, Alhalal Islamic society of Nigeria .After the prayer the next thing that follows was reading from the Holy Quran and brief history of the deceased .

Modakeke Civic Centre, the venue of the occasion was a beehive of activities as eminent Nigerians from all walks of life from different states of the federation came to Osun State to pay the final respect to this notable icon.

Speaking to newsmen in Osun during the occasion, The Commander of Tiger Base in Imo and one of the sons of the deceased, Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa hinted that his late father was a devoted Muslin faithful who lived a fulfilled life .He said that his father was a very kind and passionate man who has the interest of other people at heart, adding that his father inculcated such qualities to all his children. He also stressed that his father would solely be remembered for his peaceful disposition while here on earth, noting that his latefather was a great disciplinarian of high repute whose integrity, dignity, hospitality and morality was the reason he was loved and revered by many at the ripe age of 94. Another personality that spoke to jounalists was the Sheikh Muhydeen Adebayo Lawal (Arase), The Grand Chief Imam of Ewekoro Local government Area who stared that he had known Alhaji Adewale Odeyeyiwa for many years, describing him as a trusted and dependable ally who always had the interest of other people at heart.He revealed that Late Pa Odeyeyiwa  contributed immensely to the development of Modakeke Town. He also hinted that that the deceased was a man with good heart; who worked very hard during his life time to train all his children.

The late Alhaji Tijani Adewale Odeyeyiwa wassaid to have been born in 1931 in Adekomi Compound in Modakeke to late Pa Gbadamosi Odeyeyiwa and Alhaja Safurat Odeyeyiwa.He attended Baptist Day Primary School, Itamerin, Modakeke.He worked at various level as a store keeper, police officer, contractor and also ventured into transportation. He was also a politician and  contested House of Representative position in 1983, and won by a landslide.He was turbaned as the Aare of Musulumi of Modakeke on Saturday,  February 27, 2021. The deceased is survived by many children, Grand children and great grand children. Meanwhile large number of Imo sons and daughters were present at the occasion.
