Thunderstorm Claims Three Lives In Imo, Four Others Injured

A deadly thunderstorm struck the Obidi community in Agwa, located in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, on Tuesday, leaving three people dead and four others critically injured. The tragedy occurred during a brief rainfall in the evening of April 8, with local sources confirming the shocking loss of life.

A resident of the area, revealed that the thunderstorm’s ferocity caught everyone off guard, as the rain was relatively light.

“It was just a small rain that fell yesterday, yet three people were struck by lightning and died instantly. Four others are seriously injured. We’ve never witnessed anything like this before,” he said.
