…Hails mothers on 2025 mothering Sunday
National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has felicitated with Muslims across the country as they join their counterparts around the world to mark this year’s Eid-Mubarak.
According to him, “the celebration of this year’s Eid Mubarak coincided with the period of economic hardship, insecurity and high cost of food items. As a time of spiritual uplift, I appeal to our Muslim brothers to use this period to pray for peace, unity and development of our nation.”
According to Senator Anyanwu, “security of lives and property is beyond politics. It is what every good citizen should be involved to eradicate. This festive sesson of Eid Mubarak should serve as a period of sober reflection on the ideals of Islamic religion which abhors violence, rancour and accrimony.”
He further called on Muslims to seize the opportunity of this year’s Eid-Mubarak’s holidays to deeply reflect on the need for greater application of the prophet’s teachings
Similarly, Senator Anyanwu congratulates Catholic mothers and other good mothers in the society especially, those in Imo state on the celebration of the 2025 mothering Sunday, describing them as exceptional pillars in any virile society.
He said, “while the fathers play part in providing for the home, mothers work both covertly and overtly to foster peace and growth of the family by ensuring that their spouses attain a height that will be deeply respected in the society.
“Anyanwu believes that this is essential to ensure that the society remains politically stable and continues on a steady path to the fulfilment of its peoples’ collective vision of a strong, united and prosperous nation.”
In all, Senator Anyanwu commends both the Muslims faithful and mothers for the celebration of this year’s dual events, expressing optimism that these events will have both spiritual and physical impacts on the society.
