IMHA  Moves To Unseat Ndegwu Eze-elect:  Malicious, Pre-emptive Reportage Of Assembly Business.

… Public opinion analysts

Crack public opinion analysts have described a publication in The PressMan online Newspaper with the headline, ” IMHA Moves To Unseat Ndegwu Eze-elect, Ojinnaka on March 25, 2025 as a  publication in bad faith, malicious and shear attempt by mischief makers to expose, ridicule  and pre-empt the  processes of a highly revered institution such  as Imo State House of Assembly.

The opinion analysts who voiced strong resentment against the publication which they further, described as premature, childish and witch-hunting exercise, stated , “whereas, the Imo State House of Assembly on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, only received a report from its standing committee on Local Government, chieftaincy, rural development and community affairs, following a petition by some Ndegwu Stakeholders against the  Eze-elect of Ndegwu, Chief Nicholas Ishiuba Ojinnaka, urging government to announce that such a position is non existent in the community, some mischief makers rushed to the Press to allege that the house had already concluded plans to unseat the Eze-elect”.

The opinion analysts observed that the sponsors and publishers of THE PressMan  online publication acted in a manner injurious to the image and good standing of the Imo state apex legislative house as it painted the picture that the house had already,  taken side with the petitioners whose mission from all indications, is to embarrass the Eze-elect, Nicholas Ojinnaka who according to them, passed through due  process to emerge as Ndegwu Eze-elect. The house should ask for perusal, relevant documents on the conduct of Ndegwu Ezeship stool election as a guide”

The opinion analysts postulated that the fraudulent petitioners against the Eze-elect who purported that there should not be an Eze-elect in Ndegwu as according to them, Ndegwu is yet to become an autonomous community acted purely out of ignorance, greed and bad faith.

” Those fighting against the emergence of Nicholas Ishiuba Ojinnaka as Eze-elect of Ndegwu and their sponsors are ignorant of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Imo state because, they should have known that producing an Eze-elect under a peaceful atmosphere is one of the preconditions for granting autonomy to a populous community that has fulfilled other necessary requirements The present 10th house of Imo State Legislative Assembly should search and avail itself of this law as it concerns an Eze-elect to avoid being misled into taking a wrong action by some self-centred persons”.

” If the house which presently, ranks as the best state legislative house in terms of quality of legislations is made to take a wrong action or decision in respect of this matter by witch-hunters, it would be ridiculed, booed and jeered by  the people of the state and beyond. As far as Ndegwu Eze-elect and the community are concerned, we are strongly, of the opinion that the sleeping dog should be allowed to continue lying, as the community is already trouble and violence-laden. We call on the Speaker and members of Imo State House of Assembly to wash their hands off any move, scheme or plot to cause chaos in Ndegwu as the state government would not be comfortable with any ugly development”
