In an effort to seek wider coverage towards propagating achievements of Imo state governor,Sen. Hope Uzodinma and APC led administration, Special Adviser to the Governor on Strategy and Communication, Barr.Stephen Onyekwere Asinobi has emphasized the importance of partnering with the media for public enlightenment.
Asinobi made the assertion while interacting with some Media executives in the state at his residence in Owerri.
He maintained that Uzodinma’s administration has recorded monumental achievements within five years but was under reported by the mainstream Media.
The S.A, employ the media executives to see themselves as partners in projecting achievements of the present administration through the media.
Asinobi, said that his office has been able to create a media network where Ndimo, irrespective of where they reside can be able to access government projects going on in their various LGAs.
He added that inspite of the Social Media platform that there is much need to deeply engage the traditional media to achieve optimal results.
The SA further maintained that the traditional media has the capacity of reaching wider audience mostly, the rural dwellers who may not have access to Social Media.
Asinobi hinted that his office has taken it upon itself to ensure effective and positive media coverage on Governor’s policies which he said is inline with the Millennium Development Goals,MDG.
In another development, the SA, used the moment to inform the public on his mother’s burial, Pastor Mrs.Stella Nkiru Asinobi who will be buried on Tuesday ,April 22.
He said that many dignitaries including prominent Men of God are expected to attend the said burial.
