The last might not have been heard of the raging insecurity currently threatening the foundation of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State. The worrisome situation has gone awry that it has claimed the life of the publicity secretary of the Academic Staff Union of the Federal polytechnic, Comrade QS Bola Efe Itsekor.
In a release made available to journalists, the general secretary of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Federal Polytechnic Nekede Chapter, Comrade Sam Adeyemo revealed that Itsekor’s obituary was made public by his wife, Mrs Mercy Bola Efe. Mrs Efe stated that her husband was tragically murdered by gunmen.
In view of the prevailing circumstances, the workers at Polytechnic Nekede are still in shock and in palpable fear, afraid of their lives as they insist that the killers can strike again, any moment .
