High Chief Tony Chukwu’ s palatial country home Umueze 1 , Ehime- Mbano that played host will remain a beacon for a new prosperous Imo state when stories of a dynamic , resourceful and ultimate prosperous Imo state would be relished. A gathering which focuses on how to ensure that personal or parochial interests of individuals are jettisoned in favour of collective advantage of the zone as enormous supports to the 3R government in the state have boosted our economic indices presently. This February 1, gathering which many political observers are describing as a tonic to the Imo 21st century advancements especially with renewed hope agenda of distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma’s government . Okigwe leaderships drawn from various segments of the society were Vocal in their resolve to support Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma so as to add more Vigour in governance for Imolites. They resolved among other things strategic political engineering that will ensure the advantage of Okigwe zone in Coming back to Douglas House in 2027 especially the governor’s promise prio to his Second term election that any zone with the highest electoral support would be encouraged to produce his successor come 2027. The meeting observed that Okigwe zone gave the highest Votes in 2023 November elections, hence stand better chances of producing next Imo governor . This special gathering of various segments of Okigwe communities were enthused as their progressive leaderships through Engr .Mark Uchendu , one time SGI moved a motion which was seconded by Ozo, Barr. High Chief Charles Babatunde Ezekwem ( Ikemba, Okigwe) with Amb. Eddy Onuoha ( Enyioha) Nigeria,s Former Ambassador to Hungary supporting that a vote of implicit confidence on the governor, distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma CON for his giant revolutionaries in the in state . Okigwe leaderships expressed delights that the governor has unending love for Ndi Okigwe exemplified by his strategic political appointments of Okigwe sons and daughters in the in 3 R shared Prosperity government. A communique released at the end of the meeting showed Strategic Sub-committees such as the Media and Publicity Committee led by a media Field marshal, Chief Eli Dibia ,PhD. Earlier the Chairman of the Local organizing committee of the summit, Chief Chuk Chukwuemeka ( Chairman )who is the Commissioner for finance in the shared Prosperity government urged the Six Local Councils to show more support to the government programmes and policies. He commended the people for their determination to rally round governor Uzodinma in his quest to better the lots of Ndimo. Other members of the Committee includes Hon . Hamza Ogu. Secretary , Dr. Ezechi Chukwu’, Ozo Dr Eli Dibia, Hon Uchechukwu Echerodor, , Hon Sam Osuji, IMHA , Hon. Joe Frank Ijezie and the Executive Chairman of all LGA Chairmen are members .
