Ideato Nation Thanka  Uzodinma  Over Erosion Menace Control Effort.

The people of Ideato nation have come together to express their profound appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodinma for his tireless efforts in tackling the erosion menace in their area. A crucial meeting was held at the Ideato North Secretariat in Urualla on January 14, 2025, where stakeholders from various political parties, community leaders, women groups, religious organizations, and traditional institutions gathered to commend the governor’s intervention.

The meeting, convened by Hon. Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, witnessed an unprecedented turnout of stakeholders who expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodinma for his unassuming interest in both human and infrastructural development of Ideato Nation. The stakeholders took an on-site assessment of the project and were impressed with the quality of work done and the caliber of the contractor handling the project.

The governor’s intervention has saved Ideato Nation from the brink of extinction due to erosion, particularly in Umuchima community, which was severely affected ¹. The stakeholders commended Governor Uzodinma for coming to their aid despite not seeking re-election. They also praised the governor for the capital-intensive control of erosion and the construction of the Mgbee-Umuchima-Akokwa-Uga road.

Notable leaders and stakeholders present at the meeting included Hon. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, Ambassador Greg Mbadiwe, Hon. Paschal Obi, and Hon. Ikechukwu Umeh, among others. The stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Uzodinma’s leadership and pledged to support his future political aspirations.

In a show of unity and appreciation, the stakeholders said, “We say thank you for your love and commitment towards the development and welfare of Ideato Nation.” With the governor’s efforts, the people of Ideato Nation can now look forward to a brighter future, free from the threat of erosion.
