Professor Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe has been unanimously appointed to head the newly created Amaimo Development Committee.
The committee was established on December 30, 2024 by the Amaimo Clan made up of the four autonomous communities created from the old Amaimo clan to handle the development of the clan.
Speaking at the inauguration of the committee at Amaimo, Prof. Ajumbe assured the community that he will do his best with his committee to see that the four autonomous communities that made up the clan have rapid developments.
Prof. Ajumbe called on the people of Amaimo , in-laws and friends of Amaimo to come together and support the committee to achieve its aims.
He commended senator Samuel Anyanwu for the good work he is doing in the development of Amaimo and his donation of 10m naira to the committee.
Prof. Ajumbe used the occasion to announce the formation of three sub. Committees to enable the committee to handle some specific projects in Amaimo.
