As the year 2024 draws to a close, the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency have every reason to celebrate, thanks to the remarkable generosity of their House of Representatives member, Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi. In a heartwarming display of compassion and commitment, Hon. Akarachi marked the festive season by distributing essential food items to thousands of constituents, touching lives across all levels of society.
The Christmas largesse, which took place on December 31st at Eziama in Ikeduru LGA, was a well-organized event that reached community leaders, political stakeholders, and everyday citizens alike. Beneficiaries included community president generals (both male and female), ward and local government executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), councilors, chairmen, and other functionaries of the Local Government Areas (LGAs) that make up the federal constituency. Leaders from various communities also received their share of the largesse, ensuring that no one was left behind.
The distribution included nearly 1,000 bags of rice and garri, gallons of vegetable oil, cooking salt, tomato paste sleeping mats and wrappers—a timely intervention, especially as the country grapples with widespread hunger and economic hardship. This thoughtful gesture not only alleviated the immediate needs of many but also reinforced the bond between the representative and his people.
During the event, Ugo Sly, a respected voice in the Fed Constituency , commended the lawmaker for his efforts and urged constituents to remain steadfast in their support. “Our representative is doing so well and is undoubtedly the best Mbaike has seen in decades,” he said, encouraging patience as Hon. Akarachi continues to work towards fulfilling his promises.
Also speaking in the event was the House member, Representing Mbaitoli State Constituency, Hon. Innocent Ikpamezie , who asked the people to expect more from Hon Akarachi as he has trust that he will deliver more to Mbaike.
In his address to the people, Hon. Akarachi expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and urged them to keep faith as more opportunities lie ahead. He acknowledged the challenges of 2024, particularly the funding delays for many projects included in the national budget, but assured his constituents of a brighter 2025.
“2024 was tough for the entire country, but I am committed to ensuring that 2025 brings tangible results for our constituency. I am learning fast as a first-timer and will do everything in my power to make you proud. Together, we will leave no stone unturned,” Hon. Akarachi promised.
