…As State Chair-Udeh, leaders storm event.

In great enthusiasm and display of unity, members of National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW) Double Axle Branch, Naze, had celebrated their first End of Year Party.
The event which saw an impressive turnout of members, with state executives, including the number one driver in Imo State, Hon. Samuel Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia), State Chairman, NURTW, in attendance, was held at the branch office of the Double Axle, at No.1 Aba Road, Owerri,last Friday.
In his speech, the State Chairman, Hon Udeh praised the commitment and resilience of Double Axle, highly displayed just within the shortest period of having joined their parent body, NURTW.
Stating that the occasion indeed underscored the spirit of camaraderie within the organization, Udeh stressed that NURTW is and still remains the only authorized union for all transport sectors as directed by the state government.
Appreciating the Double Axle branch for recognizing and tracing their root to NURTW, to be part of the union, Udeh made it clear to all that his administration is an open door one that welcomes with open arms new members and erring ones who would acknowledge their root to NURTW.
While assuring the full support of the state union in the affairs of Double Axle, the NURTW state boss, urged both branch chairman of Double Axle and members to remain united, working hand in gloves for the overall progress of the union at the branch and state levels.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman, NURTW Double Axle Branch, Comrade Franklin O. Anyanwu, expressed joy for having the presence of the State Chairman with his executive to lighten up the event.
He graciously thanked the Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, who he described as a great leader, praying God to bless all who found time to celebrate with them.
Anyanwu disclosed that the joy of having found their root to be joined to their parent body, NURTW, barely six months ago, and benefits gotten so far, spurred the branch to hold the party.
He promised to carry every member of the branch along in the activities of the union, even as he encouraged all members to always demonstrate loyalty to the leadership of Governor Uzodinma, Hon. Udeh and that of the branch for maximum growth and success of the union and her members.
In a brief interview, NURTW Tipper Branch Chairman, Comrade Ndubuisi Okechukwu(Oloye) applauded the Double Axle Branch members for achieving already such a mile stone in their shortest time as members of NURTW.
He described the event as a success, prayed for God’s abundant wisdom upon the branch chairman of Double Axle in order to properly and effectively pilot the affairs of the union at the branch.
Other personalities who graced the event include Comrade Ikechukwu E. Okereke, State Treasurer of NURTW, SSA Political, Dickon Paul Ajunwa (Ishiopi), and Asst. State Secretary, Comrade Charles Oduagwu, and John Onyeagoro Chief Protocol Officer, NURTW.
