IMSU  Lecturers With Union Bank Accounts Cry Out Over Denied  Dec.Salary.

Imo State University,IMSU Lecturers who  have their Bank accounts domiciled with the Union Bank have pleaded with the  State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma to intervene over non payment of December 2024 salary.

One of the affected senior Lecturers revealed  under condition of anonymity that all of the Lectures banking with Union Bank could not take care of their families doing the Yuletide due to non payment of  their salary.

He disclosed  that other Lecturers banking with Zenith and other banks in the state had their salaries paid over a week ago.

The Lecturer who appealed to the Governor for his urgent intervention , lamented that the denial of their salary  is an ordeal which  is affecting  them in this month of   January.

According  to him, their Children would be going back to Schools and if this issue is not soughted out,our children would be affected.

Another Lecturer, Chief Ogu exonerated the Governor from the issue while accusing those working in the Government House of causing the problems.

Chief Ogu further lamented that the affected Lecturers had visited the top School management to find  a  way of paying them but they could not.

He pointed  out that with the introduction of the Treasury Single Account,TSA ,all monies are paid directly into the Government coffers.
