ISCA National Convention Holds In Oklahoma, USA

The National Convention of the Imo State Congress of America has ended in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
The 2024 convention which was well attended by nine affiliate branches of the association held between July 27-29, 2024.
The ISCA National President, Chief Frank Ekeigwe  declared the convention open in a colourful ceremony during their General Meeting  which held on Friday ,July 26, 2024.
The convention took far reaching resolutions on Women programs, Educational  programs, Youth programs and the Onyeaghala Nwanneya  spirit which are expected to have positive impacts on Imo indigenes back home and in the Diaspora.
The ISCA President reaffirmed his association’s resolve to partner with the Imo State Government led by Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma in support of its laudable developmental strides to better the lives of the citizens of Imo State and Nigeria in general.
Speaking at the convention, the leader of the Imo State government delegation, the State Commissioner for Information, Hon Declan Emelumba thanked members of the Imo State Congress of America for being credible ambassadors of Imo State in USA.
He disclosed the various programs and projects the Imo State government is embarking upon or has completed which cover the areas of education, health, agriculture, general infrastructure and security.

Chief Emelumba stated that security in the state has improved tremendously compared to the recent past. He also announced plans of Governor Uzodinma to renovate two primary schools in every ward in the state, dredging of the Oguta Lake and plans to provide uninterrupted electricity to the 27 LGA’s of Imo State in 2025.

The highlights of the ISCA 2024 Convention included the crowning of Opara Imo and Ada Imo and handing over of the next hosting right to the Atlanta Georgia affiliate as they look forward to a greater 2025 annual Convention from June 19 to June 23.
