Onuimo Legislative Council Eulogizes Uzodinma on Peaceful LGA Polls.

The Onuimo Legislative Council has given thump up to Imo State Governor,Sen. Hope Uzodinma for going the extra length to ensure that peace and tranquility reigned during the last September Chairmanship and Councillorship elections across the 27 Local Government Areas and the 305 wards in the state .

 

The Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Andy Maduako (APC Okwelle 11), who presided over the sitting at the Onuimo Local Government Headquarters said the people of Onuimo will continue to speak good of the governor for his superlative performance.

Eulogizing the governor through a motion sponsored by the Majority Leader Hon. Sunny ken Okoroike (APC Umuna) and four others Councillors on November 15, the house insisted that the ambience that prevailed throughout the period was worth emulating by other State Governors.

He also was full of appreciation for the electorates of Onuimo who conducted themselves in an orderly manner throughout the electioneering campaign.

Hon. Okoroike in opening his motions said prior to the election, the 27 Local Government Areas were upbeat with the various political parties and their candidates doing everything within their limits to win the mandate of the voters

The Councillor representing Umuna insisted that it would amount to ingratitude if the activities of the governor were glossed over, adding that it was only normal to give honour to who it is due.

Supporting the motion Hon. Eze Uchechukwu Green (APC Ofeahia) said Governor Hope Uzodimma was like no other and that he fulfilled the promises he made to the people of Imo State in general and Onuimo in particular.

He maintained that no amount of motion can describe the peaceful conduct of the polls, adding that the governor deserved whatever accolades that comes his way.

The affirmative chorus that greeted the question from the Leader indicated that all the Councillors were in synergy on the motion.
