Abide by Governor’s Directive To Attract Amenities, Onuimo LG  Chair To Communities 

The Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Area, Dr. Emeka Obi has urged communities to ensure that they abide by the pronouncements of Governor Hope Uzodimma in order to attract the dividends of democracy.

He explained that the governor was doing everything possible to see to it that no community is left behind in the provision of infrastructural facilities that would check rural/urban migration.

Speaking during the presentation of the Eze elect of Umuduruegbeaguru Ancient Kingdom, Prince Ikenna Alagba at the council headquarters, the chairman emphasized that every form of divisive activities in Onuimo must come to a close.

Obi described the governor as a man of principle and lover of peace, adding that any activity that runs foul on those principles will only attract his wrath.

He maintained that Governor Uzodimma has great love and respect for the people of Onuimo and that they reciprocate by giving him their maximum support.

The Chairman further enjoined the traditional rulers to make sure that government infrastructure situated in their domains were protected because such will determine more government presence

 

He expressed joy the the the presentation was devoid of rancour and acrimony, saying that communities must put their houses in order before seeking government recognition.

 

Obi said the turn out of men and women from the autonomous community was encouraging and assured that he will do the needful.

According to him “my duty is to do the needful to the governor, it is at the discretion of the governor to give staff of office. However because of the love the governor has for us and because of the peaceful nature of this presentation, I believe positive news will follow.

Earlier, the President General of Umuduruegbeaguru Ancient Kingdom Evangelist Nwokoro Jehoshaphat said the Eze elect when enthroned will bring his vision of peace, development and empowerment to the nooks and crannies of the community.
