The viral video of a public altercation between Nigeria Police Force officers and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officers in Osun State has drawn the attention of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun
Displeased with the unprofessional conduct displayed, the IGP labeled the officers’ actions as unacceptable and ordered the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 11, Osogbo, to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Egbetokun also called for stronger collaboration and mutual respect among security agencies, emphasizing the importance of esprit de corps. Appealing for public calm, he reassured Nigerians that the Police, under his leadership, are committed to maintaining a secure environment.
