It was a joyous and ecstatic celebration last Saturday as Holy Family Catholic Parish Irete organized mass wedding for nine couples including an Owerri based Journalist Reginald Oloko and his heartrob Violet Nwokocha.

The wedding mass which was meant to commence by 11 am began with entry procession by 11:45 . It was well attended by parishioners ,and relatives and friends of the couples.

It was around 12 pm that couples exchanged vows and were wedded.

Earlier in his sermon drawn from Matthew 19 v3 the officiating and Parish Priest, Reverend Father Kyrian Agugbuo commended the couples for their bold step in taking up the sacrament of Matrimony approved of by God, admonishing against putting asunder in the holy union.

Rev Agugbuo While describing the female spouses as the helpmates made from the ribs of their male spouses enjoined all to always love each other even as he urged female spouses to be submissive and obedient to their husbands.

The Priest however, congratulated the intended couples in advance assuring them of more blessings from God as he enjoined them to bring up their children in the way of God.

In an interview one of the newly wedded couples, Mr and Mrs Reginald Oloko who were visibly happy thanked the Parish Priest, and Holy Family Catholic Parish Irete for organizing the mass wedding in the parish and urged them to continue in that regard.
