In the spirit of oneness and brotherhood, members of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, ESOCS Royal Brothers, Owerri, Imo Zone, have paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Apostle General Iheanyichi Godson-Ibeji (KDA) Jp, former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Imo State Chapter.
The post burial visit took place on Thursday, at the family house of the late Apostle General in Owerri, capital of Imo state.
Speaking on the essence of the visit, the Chairman of the group, Snr. Ap. Samuel Udeh (KDA), noted that they visited the family of late Ibeji who was the eldest among the Royal Brothers, to pay him their last respect and to remit his due rite to the family.
He also explained that the group which was formally named Kings and Friends got a new name: ESOCS Royal Brothers, a change he said that came from directive from the national office of the Church.
Udeh apologized to late Ap Gen Iheanyichi Godson-Ibeji family on behalf of the entire group for not remitting promptly his rite.
He stated that the entire process of change, both in the leadership of the group and reconciliation of it’s account caused the delay.
The Chairman, while consoling the bereaved family, reminded them that death is inevitable, even as he added that it will happen to everyone, hence the need for all to be prepared at all times, living an acceptable life to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
He reflected on the personality of late Ibeji whose life according to Udeh, impacted lives greatly, both at the ESOCS Church worldwide and the state, adding that the late Apostle General lived a worthy life and left behind great legacies.
Handing over the cash to his family, the next eldest member of ESOCS Royal Brothers, Sup. Snr. Ap. T C Ndubueze, affirmed that late Ibeji was a Godly man,as well as a man of the people.
He urged the bereaved family not to cry as though they are hopeless, but to take solace in the belief that their father is in heaven rejoicing, going by the exemplary life he lived in rendering worthy services to God and humanity.
Appreciating the group for their show of love and support throughout the funeral processes, wife of late Ibeji, Prophetess Comfort Godson-Ibeji, stressed that her late husband indeed lived an exemplary life and his legacies will continue to speak for him.
She reflected on the love she shared with her late husband, saying, “His Eminence was the love of my youth who showed her the right path in life as his wife”, mentioning that she had to stop weeping over his demise after he had appeared to her to console her while assuring her he is in a better place, now.
