ASITU President,  Diwe Mourns Iwuanyanwu,Says, He Was Bridge Builder. 

…”His demise, colossal loss to Ndi-Igbo”

The Association of Igbo Town Unions ,ASITU, led by its National President, Chief Emeka Diwe, were among the notable groups and individuals that paid their last respect to Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who was laid to rest in his Atta country home on Friday .
The Igbo leader, Chief Diwe, and his entourage arrived  St  Matthew’s Anglican Church, Atta, Ikeduru, venue of the funeral service and joined other notable Nigerians at the   service to pray for the repose of the soul of the  deceased and for peace and progress of the Nigeria state.
The event, which was attended by clergy men, political bigwigs, captains of industries,  members of the academia and traditional rulers, was officiated by the Archbishop and Primate of Anglican Communion of Nigeria, Most Rev. Henry Ndukauba who was  supported at the service by  several other priests.
The officiating minister, eulogized the selfless service and philanthropic gesture of late Engr   Iwuanyanwu and called on Nigerians  to ensure they live their lives by serving humanity and God. The Archbishop Ndukauba described Chief  Iwuanyanwu as a great lover of Ndigbo who is also a detribalized Nigerian at the same time. He admonished the family members of the deceased to resolve ensuing possible  differences in love.
The President of ASITU, Chief Diwe, shortly after the service , said that the death of the Igbo leader is a colossal loss to Ndigbo. He noted that the late President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Worldwide was a  bridge builder who strengthened and  fostered  harmonious relationship between Ohanaeze Ndigbo and ASITU within the short time he served as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Chief Diwe said ASITU is deeply saddened by his demise but is  consoled that he lived  his life campaigning against the marginalization  of Ndigbo and betterment of  humanity in general
