…As Mgbechi emerges Legislative Council Leader

Moving forward to complete the rudiments contained in constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as it concerns the third tier government, in Nigeria particularly Imo State, the Executive Council Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Hon Chinedum Nwachukwu,has joined his counterparts in 27 LGAS to officially Inaugurated the newly elected 12 Councilors in the LGA.
In his inaugural speech at the LGA headquarters,on October,15 ,Hon. Nwachukwu, reiterated his commitment to work in synergy with the Councilors to actualized the long expected dividends of democracy to the people of Ezinihittee Mbaise LGA.
He emphasized that discharging their executive and legislative duties in harmony will amount to high level of development, peace, unity and total delivery of dividends of democracy in the area .
adding ,they’ll bring it to an envious height.
The Chairman reassured to uphold the 3R programs of APC government in the LGA, as he expressed his gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodnma for giving power to grassroots who owns it .
He also thanked the LGA Party Chairman, Mikey Adindu, other Party leaders and Royal Fathers in Ezinihittee Mbaise.
Speaking on behalf of the Councilors, the deputy speaker of the Council,Hon. Echeta Stephen said that they have to pledged allegiance as the Legislative arm to Ezinihitte Mbaise people irrespective of their political leanings for the betterment of the LGA.
“We are going to work in unity with the Chairman to ensure that the dividends of democracy are achieved which our people have so much awaited for and we the Legislative Assembly have taken it upon our selves to make laws that would promote the standard of living in the area and work hard for programs that would be imitated by other LGAs.
“We shall not leave any stone unturned to make the area a better place to live, we would work tirelessly to transform Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA , he stressed.
In the same manner, the Speaker of the Council, Hon. Mrs. Mgbechi Beason, maintained that the House would carry out their duties in synergy with the Executive Chairman to uplift Ezinihitte to a greater height.
She added, “to whom much is given, much is expected and reward for good work is more work” , she summited.
The Speaker also expressed excitement for the opportunity given to her to serve the people of Ife, Chokoneze and Ogbodim Ward, assuring to offer good representation.
She extended appreciation to the Governor Uzodinma, State Party Chairman, Macdonald, LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Chidiebere Adindu and entire leadership of APC in Ezinihitte.
In his remarks, Ezinihitte APC Party Chairman Hon. Mike Adindu, advised the Councilors on the need for them to offer utmost representation as they are accountable to those in their various Wards that made up, the 28 Autonomous Communities in the LGA andust shun greediness and selfishness.
He also asked them to remain focused in discharging their legislative duties because much is expected of them already.
” You people have to lay a legacy that would make you be remembered in future, embrace peace and unity amongst yourselves and work in synergy with the Executive Chairman that is the only way you could attain your responsibilities as Councilors .
He also noted that it is paramount to know that power belongs to the citizens of Ezinihitte who elected you.
He reminded them to make more friends than enemies .
He urged them to upgrade security in the area by always meeting with traditional rulers, PGs and other leaders in the area but if by any reason(s) the need arises to involve the state government on security updates, they should not hesitated in alerting them.
Adding his voice, the APC Owerri Zonal Chairman, Hon. Justice Ogu , charged the newly Legislative Council to concentrate on road construction so that their various Wards could be accessed in Ezinihitte Mbaise.
He also tasked them to initiate programs that would be of benefits to the people as well as attract even development in the area.
He urged them to also maintain peace and tranquility among themselves, hence there are huge tasks ahead.
Finally, he emphasized, ” all eyes are on you, we expect so much from you, you have to put unwavering determination to make Ezinihitte Mbaise a conducive place to for all of us to live”.
