… Installs Solar light panels at Ama-Hausa, Royce Road.
…As Residents laud effort

As a way to complement the good works of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Imo state, as well as strengthen security in Owerri Municipal Council, an APC member and youth leader from Uzoagba in Ikeduru LGA, Hon. Promise Chidera Nyeaka, has extended his good gesture to the Hausa Community by installing over 15 Solar Light panels at the popular Ama-Hausa down to Royce Road.
Nyeaka, a former Councillorship Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress ,APC for Uzoagba Ward in the recently held Local Government elections in the state, kicked off the solar light installation project within Hausa Community down to Royce axis, last Friday.
Speaking in Owerri, Nyeaka popularly known as ‘Update’ disclosed that he was divinely inspired to install the solar light panels at Ama-Hausa, adding that he presented himself as a tool in God’s hands to bring to fruition the heartbeat and prayers of Hausa Community to get their arena lightened up to strengthen security.
Nyeaka who has his structure name as ‘Update for Imo’, also noted that the gesture to “Hausa Community was a show of love and prove that we all living in Imo state are one and there should be no need for any form of discrimination among citizens or sections of the state, as “what is good for the Goose is also good for the Gander”.
The reformer stressed that he is a determined youth, who has the passion to serve his people at all times and has all it takes to transform and reform the economic situation of the state and country at large within few years if given the chance, hence he appealed to the state and Federal Governments to avail youths like him the opportunity to transform the country and make it a safe haven for all.
He condemned in its totality the attitude of many vibrant youths of Nigeria who are interested in leaving their country(Japa) to other countries and developing those countries while their own country begs for development.
He went on to urge them to have a rethink, stay back in their father’s land and join hands with people like him in reshaping it.
Update, who had First Class in Electrical Engineering in Federal University of Technology Owerri ,FUTO, urged fellow youths to imbibe the spirit of patriotism in order to change the ugly narrative of the society.
He opined that all hands must be on deck for a well desired society, advising that no one should stand aloof waiting for the government to do everything for us, but strive to support the government in his or her little capacity to advance development and move the state forward, positively.
Thanking Update for his good will and hospitality towards them, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Uzodinma on Gender and Vulnerable Groups (Men) Northern Affairs, Hon. Sulaiman Ibrahim, on behalf of the Hausa Community, royal father, Sariki, said the young business mongul, deserved accolades and royal handshake, for he had aided them to do what they could not do for themselves.
“I give you the excellency and royal handshake today for your hospitality towards us. You truly deserve it, because you came from outside to do for us what we ought to have done for ourselves, but could not. We honor you and we remind you that we are with Ikeduru people and we are together. You have set an example for others to emulate and follow”, The SSA added.
Commending the donor for the gesture, former Imo APC Councillorship Aspirant for Azuzi Ward 3, Ama-Hausa Chapter, Hon Usman Salees Abba (BALA), confirmed that the installed Solar lights are working perfectly, even as he reflected that the donor has helped him to achieve one of his campaign promises to his people, promising to secure the Solar lights.
Just as Yusuf Muhammad, a youth of the Hausa Community, appreciated Nyeaka for the feat, admitting that they have started already to enjoy the light, pointing out that through the Solar light he has been able to apprehend thieves at the area.
