…Marshalls out plans

Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ,Imo State Council has during their October monthly Congress appointed Comrade Victor Madumere as Committee Chairman of this year’ Press Week, an annual ritual of the Union.
The Press Week committee was inaugurated after the October monthly Congress presided over by the Care taker Committee chairman,Comr.Precious Nwadike who encouraged them to be proactive and committed to the event.
He assured the Committee of the full support of the Union.
In his acceptance speech, Madumere on behalf of the members of the committee pledged total commitment of ensuring that the committee delivers creditably on the mandate given to them.
He assured that this year’s event is going to be spectacular as various activities are already in the pipeline in marking the epoch making event.
The committee chairman used the moment to enjoin members of the committee to dedicate their time and energy to ensure that the outing will be a memorable one.
Madumere remarked that the event will also be an avenue of bringing all members back under one umbrella.
The event,he also assurd is going to feature many dignitaries who have excelled in their respective professions including Journalists who through their engagements in the media profession have created positive view of the noble profession.
It will also feature seminars and workshops for members of the Union including upcoming Journalists,he asserted.
