…Says: Rivers will not succumb to intimidation from bad losers”
The governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party,APP in the last Imo State governorship election in 2024, Barr. Anderson Achilike, has congratulated all the newly elected Local Government Chairmen in last Saturday’s LG Poll in Rivers state.
Achilike also sent words of felicitation to the National Chairman of the APP, Barr Kingsley Nnadi, for posting such a resounding victory, in spite of the highwire conspiracies by some desperate power-mongers to undermine the party and the process.
He calls on loyal party members and the people of Rivers State to remain resilient and actively uphold the rule of law and justice.
He said: “While commending the people of Rivers state for this unprecedented victory, I wish to state that no amount of arson or guerrilla attacks on state facilities and infrastructure, by known enemies of River state, will be able to intimidate or reverse the mandate freely given to the 23 LG chairmen by the people of Rivers State. Rivers will not succumb to intimidation.”
Barr. Achilike further extended his heartfelt appreciation to Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, for his unwavering commitment to democracy and for ensuring that the elections were held peacefully, even in the face of adversity.
According to him,APP’s triumph in Rivers State marks the beginning of a new era ,a wave of reforms that will continue to spread across the region, eliminating poor governance and ushering in a people-centered administration in the upcoming elections
