Bishop Uzoma Emmanuel Afamefuna has warmly congratulated the newly appointed Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Dr Bassilia Igbokwe, on her historic appointment as the 9th substantive rector and second female rector of the institution.
Bishop Uzoma described the new rector as “a disciplined personality with impeccable character, destined to transform the institution through exceptional leadership.”
He noted that as an intelligent woman and mother, she inherently understands the institution’s challenges and would prioritize the welfare of staff and lecturers.
Bishop Uzoma who is a part-time lecturer in the Evening Programme of the School of Information Communication Technology, Department of Mass Communication, said the new rector is intimately familiar with the institution’s dynamics.
He offered prayers for the rector, seeking God’s protection and guidance, and wishing her wisdom to navigate her new role successfully.
