National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Governorship candidate of the party in the 2023 election, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu(Samdaddy) has congratulated the new leadership of the party in Imo state led by Rt Hon Austine Nwachukwu (Igbudu) for emerging winners, describing them as round pegs in round holes.
“Your election was carefully done and considering the fact that you emerged victorious in the keenly contested poll, it therefore means that members of the PDP in the state still repose high level of confidence in you.
“As the National Secretary of the party, I am willing to support this leadership by providing every necessary logistics that will aid you to galvanize, resuscitate and take the party to an enviable height”, he stated.
In a Press release signed by Ikenna Onuoha,his Special Adviser ,Media, he asserted that he has no doubt, their emergence and successful inauguration as members of the State Executive Committee,SEC of the great party in Imo state is a testimony of their genuine dedication, commitment and devotion to the ideals and vision of the party.
He opined that it is his wish for the Exco to succeed in the discharge of its onerous tasks without injuring anyone.
He said ,”as you prepare to sustain the growth of PDP in Imo state, remember that you have high responsibilities and challenges to surmount.
“While embarking upon these new responsibilities, I wish to assure you and PDP members in the state of my continued friendship, support, commitment, dedication and loyalty to your leadership aimed at taking our party to an enviable height.
The former Owerri Zone(Imo East) Senator said he looks forward to working with the Exco not only to develop closer relations between the party members, leaders and critical stakeholders but also to make concerted efforts in the cause of peace and the brotherhood of all party persons.
He urged them to ensure that everyone is carried along in the affairs of the party at all levels.
