Government is to revitalize all the Industries in Imo state to make them more viable.
The Commissioner for Industries Mines and Solid Minerals Chief Ernest Ibejiako disclosed this when the leadership of IMO State Footwear, Leather/Allied Products Manufacturing Group paid him a courtesy call.
Chief Ibejiako commended them for their quality products and encouraged them to embark on more commercial productions for export
The Commissioner told them that Government will create a conducive environment, provide them with land and other incentives for them to operate which will make their colleagues in Aba and other places to return to Imo state.
Earlier, the President Imo State Footwear, Leader/Allied Products Manufacturing Group Chief Innocent Okorie solicited the assistance of the state government in their.
Chief Okorie said their mission is not only to manufacture shoes, leather travelling bags for local and international export, but also to train the youth to be self reliant and employers of labour.
The Special Advicer to the Governor on Industrial Parks Chief Emma Dike and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Dr Daniel Ogocheke were present at the courtesy call.
