Joining numerous aspirants in the Local Government Council election , Hon. Ferdinand Chidera Unawunwa, a progressive, spirited youth of Obiokwu in Amakohia-Ubi Owerri West LGA of Imo state has purchased his APC Councillorship forms for Amakohia-Ubi/Ndegwu/Ohii Ward 9.
Unawunwa obtained the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for his Councillorship aspiration, last Monday, at State Secretariat of the APC, in Owerri.
Speaking to Journalists shortly after receiving the forms, Unawunwa asserted that his interest to vie for the position was strongly influenced by the astounding works of Governor Hope Uzodinma, which he executed in every sector of the state, adding that he passionately desires to sustain and replicate vividly such awesome initiative of the Shared Prosperity Government in his Ward.
He commended the Governor for having done excellently in transforming and refurbishing the state, saying it is only wise and noble for him at his own little level and corner to support the good work and propagate it for a more progressive and developed state.
According to him, “what aroused my interest for this position is that when you look around the state you will quite believe with me that our amiable Governor has performed excellently in every sector and I feel to be part of the movement to help bring the monumental development down to my Ward and to make sure my people adequately share in the development and prosperity of the 3R Administration.
“I really appreciate the Governor for doing well and should be emulated and supported”, he maintained.
The enterprising Councillorship aspirant promised to endeavour that youths and women of his Ward are empowered, dilapidated markets rehabilitated and reconstructed, health care centres revitalized and equipped among other human development programs, for good living in Amakaohia Ubi/Ndegwu/Ohii Ward 9, if elected into office.
He assured them of his transparency, accountability, accessibility and efficiency in leadership and vowed never to disappoint them nor sideline anyone but will carry everyone along in order to achieve their desired common goal.
