“Help, my 8 months child was snatched from me by Uche/Obinna”
Following the alleged ambushing of a lady, Ikechi Kelechi from Amuzi Umuofor in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA , Imo state which incident led to the alleged kidnap of her eight months baby,Chimuanya an Activist, Comrade Chikezie Erege, has made a passionate appeal to the authorities of the state police command to live up to their duties by ensuring the prompt arrest of the alleged suspects.
Comrade Erege also known as ” Mouthpiece of the Less Privileged”, hinted Nigeria Newspoint that the counsel to the victim whose child was allegedly Kidnapped,
U.D Ibeneto Esq., has forwarded a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Imo Police Command, Aboki Danjuma demanding the arrest of the duo, Mr Uche and Dr. Obinna both of whom are said to be residents of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA.
He further hinted that the said petition dated July 12, , has already been received by the office of the Commissioner of Police in the state.
Erege however, expressed sadness that no arrest has been made as at the time of filing this report.
Part of the said petition, a copy of which was extended to Nigeria Newspoint read:
“Our client works with NewLife Company that has its office at #46 Tetlow Road, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, that specialises in selling and distribution of Supplements drugs as a temporary Sales girl.
” On the 23rd day of June, 2024, our client got a call from Mr Uche to deliver some drugs(Supplements ) to him at Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria. After delivering the drugs to him at his house, and while our client was returning to Owerri where she resides, the above named Uche in the company of one person known as Dr. Obinna (trado medicine)and other persons which are unknown to our client, attacked our client at Afor Ekiri, Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria, inflicted serious bodily harm on her, dumped her in the bush , thereby leaving her half dead and in comma.
They there after kidnapped and took away her eight months child, Chimuanya Ikechi.
“That till now, our client who is an indigent citizen of this country cannot locate her child even after reporting the case to the police at Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, who could not arrest the suspects.”
The activist, Erege, has therefore joined the victim’s lawyer, U.D Ibeneto in urging the police authorities to ensure the arrest of the alleged suspects who according to the petitioners, “are known in their community…”
They alleged that the suspects were emboldened by the thinking that the victim Miss Ikechi “is an indigent citizen of this country…” and as such, may not be able to do anything about it.
