Ukemezie gave the hint in Owerri with his team, when he presented the Election form to the APC chairman ,Oguta LGA, Hon. Chucks Ugboma for fatherly blessings and endorsement who encouraged him to move on to the area and campaign vigorously,even as he assured him that the election will be open free and fair.
Hon. Ukemezie, who hails from Uba-Agwa clan has been adjudged to be the best among those jostling to occupy the number one seat of Oguta LGA come September 21, Imo LGs elections.
The foremost aspirant has to his record, his administrative prowess in private sector, philanthropic gestures and youthful age which remain the focal point of efficiency and productivity in every administration.
It will be recalled that Hon. Ukemezie had earlier electrified parts of Oguta communities by installing Solar lights system on the cardinal streets as well as paying West African Senior School Certificate Examinations,WASSCE fees for hundreds of Oguta indigenous students.
As a party loyalist,Hon. Ukemezie on Tuesday, July 16,took his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the APC Chairman of Oguta LGA,Hon.Ugboma for onward campaign strategies and due consultation of party stakeholders.
Expectations are high that the forthcoming Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State would be a great opportunity for the people of Oguta to elect Hon. Ukemezie as their Chairman for overall benefits of the women and youths.
Hon Ukemezie as one of the contestants from Agwa Clan where executive chairmanship position ought to be domiciled in this political dispensation.
The other political bloc of Oguta is currently occupying the Imo House of Assembly seat and is an entrepreneur of repute who is ready to take Oguta people to the “promise land”.
Speaking,Hon. Ukemezie insisted that he possesses all the needed requirements to become the next Oguta Executive Chairman,soliciting for support of the LGA APC Chairman to enable him emerge the Party’s flag bearer.
The Uba Agwa-born politician assured the Party Chairman of his capacity to bring back victory to APC, if elected the Party flag bearer during the primary election.
He declared that he is one hundred percent prepared for the election, both financially and in mobilization strategies.
Hear him, ” I have purchased forms after a wider consultation and I am ready to serve my people.
I want you to tell our people to get prepared for the election as it is the turn of the youths to manage their future by themselves.
I am going to be a good ambassador of the present “Shared Prosperity Government” in Imo State led by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma in Oguta Local Government, if elected the Chairman.
“Yes,I am prepared to get it right this time around and liberate our people from political boredom and under development by spicing the system with fresh blood and good legacies through transparency, fairness, accountability and efficiency”.
Responding, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Oguta LGA,Hon. Ugboma who was overwhelmed with joy to see one of his friends coming to show him his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms thanked the Chairmanship hopeful for his sagacity and positivity for being among the first set of aspirants to purchase the forms.
He went on to encourage him to use the same zeal to campaign vigorously for the election as the election is expected to be free and fair.
“Go home and work hard to earn your victory because it’s a grassroots movement,ward to ward election, adding that who you are at the community level will speak volume. I’m like a father,and so ready to receive everyone contesting for the election in Oguta LGA, both the Chairmanship and Councillorship aspirants in one accord, without sentiments or favouritism.
“So far, it’s about two persons that I know who have picked the Chairmanship forms in Oguta and I know that others will equal collect.
“I only wish you well and encourage you to go and do your campaign until when the time comes”, he stated.
