Imo State House Of Assembly,IMHA has held a Valedictory session in honour of Hon. Prince Steve Orji(Okeosisi ),who passed on at the age of 68 years.He was the CEO of Our Naira Pool based in Owerri,
Speaking during the Valedictory Session, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Chike Olemgbe said that late Orji was elected into the Imo Assembly in 1999 to represent the people of Orlu State Constituency.
Rt. Hon Olemgbe noted that late Orji was also the Majority Chief Whip and sponsored so many bills and moved many motions.
Also Speaking the member representing Orlu state Constituency, Hon. Martin Ikenna Ihezuo pointed out that the deceased used his position to attract lots of developmental projects in Orlu between 1999 and 2003.
Hon Ihezuo further said, that the late Lawmaker contributed a lot towards the development of the state while in the House and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the lost.
In his speech, former Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Nnaemeka Maduagwu, described the late Orlu Lawmaker as a man of courage and action, even as he urged his children to emulate the footsteps of their father.
In an interview with the Imo State House of Assembly correspondents, the first son of the deceased, Prince Ibuchukwu Orji thanked the Speaker, members of the present Imo State House of Assembly and former members who attended the event for the honour given to his late father.
He further thanked relatives, friends and well wishers who out of their tight schedules still found time to attend the valedictory session.
Prince Ibuchukwu, further informed that the burial of their father will be on Friday, July 26, at Ubaha Umuagi Umu – Umuehihe Ihioma Community in Orlu LGA.
