Solidarity Visit: Ikeduru Youth Alliance hails Uzodinma over Mandela’s pick as commissioner

Ikeduru Youth Alliance, IYA, has thumbed up Governor Hope Uzodinma over the appointment of an Ikeduru son, Dr Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu as Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Imo State.

IYA made the commendation Thursday, when it paid a solidarity visit to the commissioner in Owerri. IYA President, Chinasa Ekechi

who felicitated  with Dr Ukaegbu on behalf of the founder and sponsor of the group, Dr Obinna Obi-Njoku Jnr, expressed optimism that the commissioner would excel in his new assignment.

The IYA president who also described Dr Ukaegbu as a vibrant youngman with what takes to move the ministry to greater height urged him to factor in the group in the programmes and activities of the ministry. While assuring him of their support at all time.

Responding, the youthful commissioner thanked the leadership of IYA for their support.

He said Governor Uzodinma has a passion for the welfare of the youths, adding that he also shared the same passion with the governor.

Dr Ukaegbu described the founder and sponsor of IYA, Dr Obinna Obi-Njoku Jnr, as a friend whom he has maintained relationship with from the time both of them where in their respective medical colleges, saying that he was delighted with what Dr Obi-Njoku Jnr’s has done  in the area of youth welfare even in private capacity.

He pledged to partner the youth group in the activities of the ministry and urges them to sustain the tempo.
