Information emanating from the circles of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has exposed subtle plans by the party officials to scheme out some aspirants who are gunning for the council positions. Imo council election has been scheduled to hold in September all things being equal.
Many aspirants are warming up to take shots at the grassroots election but it has been revealed that so much manipulation is already ongoing in the process. The party too an insider revealed appears confused and cannot immediately take decision on certain issues because they are waiting for the governor.
An aspirant who wants his name under wraps expressing his frustration stated that up till moment the fee for expression of interest (EOI) is speculated at N1m while others rumour 500k, or less. He state that they are waiting for the governor to make the final pronouncement of whatever figure.
Labeling the party officials as rogues and selfish opportunists who wants to reap where they did not sow he claimed that there is no level playing field as they have plotted to favour preferred contestants and those that would be imposed.
Talking to yours sincerely in anger, he lamented, “do you know that they said they will open sale of forms on Friday and end it on Tuesday, just three days effectively. That may be difficult for me to raise the fee and secure tax clearance which will cost me like another 200k”. These people are thieves he cursed.
