The newly elected Executives of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria , Imo state chapter (REDAN) , under the watch of Dr .Best Njoku , held there inaugural meeting in Imo , over the weekend.
The well attended meeting which took place in Owerri , has Real Estate Experts and their newly elected Executives in attendance, who brainstormed to chart a way forward for the organization.
In a chat with newsmen after the meeting , Dr. Best Njoku who led the Executives , disclosed that the meeting is for the newly elected Executives to interact and find a way forward for the real estate sector , in order to set a positive goal for Real Estate developers , he maintained that though elected not long ago on the 15th of May 2024 together with his Executives , he said plans are on top gear for REDAN to ensure that more houses are provided for Citizens to cushion the effects of low number of houses in Imo state , Dr Best stressed on the need for houses to be built following the proper procedures , regulations and legal backing.
Dr.Best seized the platform to notify the public that the association in it’s wisdom will no longer tolerate Fraudsters in the real estate business , he said a committee will be set up , and a task force put in place to arrest fraudsters who dupe clients.
Speaking on the mission and vision of REDAN, Dr Best said , REDAN was duly registered and established in 2021 , with National , Regional and State bodies to aid in providing shelter for citizens , he also advised the public to beware of unregistered agencies who claim to be real estate developers , he said that a genuine real estate developer must have an official address , he said ” lands are sold to up to 10 people by Fraudsters who do their transactions mainly in Hotels and places without an official address ” he expressed
Dr. Best also mentioned the day for a formal handover ceremony of the association which he said will take place on the 26th of June 2024 at Graceland estate in Owerri , he hinted that the event will create an avenue for him and his team to showcase their 4 years plan, Dr. Best also called on the Government at all levels to partner with REDAN to ensure good and affordable houses get to the citizens , Other Executives present at the meeting include ; Hon .Simeon Oguzie (Symbuild Nigerian Limited ), Architect Faithful Iroh (Grand Angle) , Munachi International Investment Limited , Linda Chinagorom ( Capital City Development Limited ) , Frankpiece Ibuchi of Global Peace Consultant Ventures Limited and host of other personalities.
