It was a joyful gathering of members of Cherubim And Seraphim Unification Church Of Nigeria Imo state Chapter at Sacred Cherubim And Seraphim Church, Old Nekede road Owerri where it held the inauguration of its state chapter with His Eminence, Snr.Elder AP. Dr. Victory Kalu emerging as Chairman.Officiating, the International Chairman Ecclesiastical of Cherubim And Seraphim Unification Church Of Nigeria, His Eminence Baba Ahladura Adeoye expressed delight on the inauguration, maintaining that it is a sign that the church has strongly come to stay in the state.
He stated that the event marked another beginning of many more glorious things that will take place in Imo Chapter.
Presenting Certificates to the newly inaugurated Executives,Baba Aladura said that their Inauguration was a call for more service as he enjoined them to emulate Christ who humbled himself to the extent of washing the feet of his Apostles.
“Emulate Jesus Christ who took aside his garment to wash the feet of his Apostles.So, today as you are inaugurated you should bear in mind that you have to put aside your title inorder to serve the church.Show humility and love while leading the members ,”he admonished.
The Baba Aladura, reminded them to always bear in mind the last prayer of Jesus Christ in John chapter 17 v 21 where he prayed for the church to be one and tasked them to use their different positions to bring the body of Christ under one umbrella.
He used the moment to appreciate the Elders for keeping the church in the State together despite all challenges.Speaking with our reporter, the newly inaugurated chairman,Snr. Elder Apostle Kalu said that the event was his happiest moment as they have been working for it since over twenty five years now and that it has finally come to fruition.
He assured that he will use the position given to him to work for Christ and the Church by expanding the gospel and in keeping to principles and guidelines laid down by Christ.
Snr Elder Ap. Kalu used the occasion to call on other members in the state who are yet to embrace the unification church to do so now that the chapter has been inaugurated.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the church from various parts of the state including the Secretary General of Cherubim And Seraphim Unification Church World Wide,Snr.Apostle Ajose.
