Eze Malachy Receives Doctorate Award, Vows To Uphold Community Development

Highly recognized as one of the befitting Christians of African origin, who fostered human and community development, HRM, Eze Malachy Okechukwu Onu, (Olele 111) of Agbala Ancient Kingdom in Owerri North LGA, Imo State, has bagged a Doctorate Degree Honorary Award from the Global Theological Seminary Inc. (GLOTES), Nigeria and USA.
The esteemed Award was conferred on Eze Onu during the 2024 Owerri Zonal Conference cum Award ceremony of GLOTES, held last week, at the Assembly Hall of Government College Owerri.

Baldachin of Theology Ministerial and Management Education
Conferring the Doctorate Degree Honorary Award on the indomitable Monarch, Presiding Chancellor, Global Theological Seminary INC., Prof. Emma C. Israel, asserted that the Doctorate Award came to HRM due to exceptional rulership and selfless service to Agbala community, and beyond.
“Based on Eze Onu’s laudable achievements and contributions to human advancement, our noble institution hereby decorates him with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Human and Community Development. upon the approval of credentials by the Senate and enviable achievements cum services to God and humanity and is ipso
factor entitled to the rights, privileges and immunities appertaining thereto and to use the honour and the investiture to the glory of God”, Prof. Israel affirmed.
Appreciating GLOTES for finding him worthy of the Ph.D Award, Eze Onu who was the former Chairman of Traditional Rulers, Ndi Eze Owerri North and Ndi Eze Owerri Federal Constituency for a total of eight years assured that the Honour would guide him to work competently to improve the development of Agbala community, just as he promised to continually serve God and humanity.
“I feel delighted over the Doctorate Degree Award. It is a big Honour. It is very good to me. It is not my first Award though. Yes, I have traveled wide and lived overseas, many
years. I came back and established businesses through which many people are gainfully employed. I promise to continually bring development to my community, Agbala. In my life, I have expected that such an honour will come to me, it is a meritorious one”, Eze Onu maintained.
The Royal Father’s retinues at the occasion include Chief Dickson.O Chieke(P/S, and Cabinet Member). Hon. Cele Ejilugwu (CSO), Hon. Chima Osuji, Mr. Chiekwehibe Ogunonu, Mr. Kenneth Echefula and Engr. Dr. Jude Obichere (Associate Professor with FUTO), who described the Monarch as a good and kind man, a philanthropist, who is godly, tolerant, chivalric, development driven, easy going and dear to Agbala community.
