Tomorrow, Saturday, May 4, Nigerians from all walks of life will converge on the Hillside Castle of the Prince of Mbaike , Charles Amadi- Charlvon at Eziama in Ikeduru LGA,Imo state as his wife, Mrs Yvonne Iyabose Amadi whom he fondly calls ‘woman of steel’ marks her 60th birthday in style.
The thoroughly planned and organized event by a committee headed by a former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barr. Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike), is expected to be attended by notable Nigerian leaders, politicians, business moguls and other prominent people such as former Presidents of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, State Governors led by the Governor of Imo, Sen.Hope Uzodinma.
Other distinguished dignitaries expected to honour the event include members of the National Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Akarachi Amadi, his beloved son and a host of others.
In his remarks, the Prince of Mbaike and Operational Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Owerri Zone, Charles Amadi, described his wife as more of a pillar of support and encouragement in thick and thin. He said it would have been impossible for him to succeed in life without a woman like Iyabose, his darling wife, who loves God Almighty so much and is ever ready to make any sacrifice for the glory of God.
Prince Amadi, also eulogized his wife for her faithfulness and unfailing love and thanked her for being a wonderful wife, worthy mother of his children and a steadfast helping hand.
” I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful, supportive and caring wife. She is a testament to my success in life. She deserves the best and nothing will be too much to show my heartfelt gratitude to her for being who and what she is to me,”he intoned.
On his part, Chairman of the planning committee, Barr. Ononuju (Ekwedashike) said he has implicit belief in the maxim that “beside, and not behind every man is a good woman”.
He further opined that this has been bountifully proven by the sexagenarian wife of Prince Amadi, whom he described as an outstanding heroine and special gift from God Almighty to her husband.
The Committee chairman assured that all is ready for the epoch – making occasion as his committee has taken everything necessary step to ensure the success.
Barr. Ononuju used the opportunity to welcome in advance all the special guests, as well as members of the Orlu People’s Consultative Assembly, OPOCA urging them to come merry with OZOPOF.
