The above philosophy can well be said as part of what drives the Chief of Staff,CoS to Imo state Governor,Hon. Barr Nnamdi Richardson Jnr Anyaehie, Ezeumuokorobia as he is popularly called by close pals,towards philanthropy .
Any way the following story as told to Nigeria Newspoint by Madam Ndidi NJoku,an All Progressives Congress,APC woman LGA Coordinator who delivered Nguru Nweke ward in Aboh Mbaise LGA for APC in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
According to Ndidi NJoku,a Widow from Umuhu Okwuato Community,she had attended a political campaign rally for Gov Hope Uzodinma’s re-election on July 6,2023 at the home of Hon.Charles Ogu(Kpurukpuru Mmiri)and after the rally she was dropped off at Emekuku near Owerri,Imo state capital by another party Chieftain to enable her go to her house.Right there, as she was about to make a move, a driver of a Motorcycle hit her on the left leg. That was how her long three months journey to the hospital began.
The LGA APC Woman coordinator said from that sad moment of the Motorbike accident,she was abandoned by all leaders of the party in Aboh Mbaise LGA.The the TC chairman,women leaders, stakeholders including a member of House of Representatives she coordinated and delivered in his ward.
” For over two months,no member of the APC in Aboh Mbaise LGA remembered me.I was abandoned, forgotten,left hungry and dying in the hospital.Only my children struggled to see to my needs and helped me eek out a living.Life was quite frustrating for me in these few months and I became hopeless and confused.
At this point, Ndidi NJoku disclosed that she remembered how she joined the Uzodinma Governorship campaign.She recalled that it was HRH Eze Joel Udenkwo-UdeKings that prodded her to join and campaign for Sen Hope Uzodinma from Orlu Zone to be re-elected.
Ndidi declared that since she hails fromUmuegbe Umuzike community in Orlu LGA but married in Aboh Mbaise ,she chose to work for her brother,the Governor to make a come back,for a second term. So,she cried out to Eze Udenkwo,Eze Udo of Ishiala Umudi in Nkwerre LGA, telling him that she was dying in the hospital.
Fortunately for her,as she complained and moaned,the Ishiala-Umudi monarch ,co-incidentally was in the house of the Chief of Staff,that moment.
The monarch relayed her plight to Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie.The CoS staff was enraged that the Aboh Mbaise APC stakeholders neglected the widow in her unfortunate plight having for the party.
In the words of Madam Ndidi NJoku,”I don’t know the CoS,even up till date,but he gave me hope and made me live again.
“He gave me a donation of Five hundred thousand Naira.The CoS also offset my hospital billsl.”
The widow and Aboh Mbaise LGA woman Coordinator has therefore come out to asked the whole world to thank and appreciate the Chief Of Staff,CoS,Barr Nnamdi Anyaehi.She prays and hope to meet him one-on-one some day soon, to thank him immensely for his wonderful gesture and philanthropy to her and her family.
