This political move , borne out of bad advice and a misguided decision, is unacceptable , being a panic ploy to gag and silence the people, whose Constitutional Rights, Safeguards and Freedoms are guaranteed , overriding everything to the contrary .
Chapter 1V of the Constitution on the citizens’ Fundamental Human Rights, overrides this political decision and action of an embattled government, soon to settle scores with the people of Nigeria, from whom government derives its power and authority to govern .
The original force of the Magna Carta, is put to utmost test here , which empowers the people , as the Political Sovereign of the nation’s democracy, to divest , wrestle and take over power from the government for lack of performance .
What this government has just done is abominable and has the tendency of leading to the clash of iron clads , turning Nigeria into another Rwanda and perhaps Sudan .
I don’t think anything would stop Nigerians from becoming Aggrieved Nigerians , ready to war with the incumbent government, that has refused to pacify and empathize with the people .
Just look at the crystal ball and decipher what’s in the offing .
The coming days are evil , and both sides of the aisle are in for the worst nightmare, which’s a devastating whirlwind that blows no one any good .
Despite the open hostility and threats to the people’s rights in the Constitution, African and People’s Rights and numerous UN Conventions , Nigerians home and abroad, will not tolerate or give in , to this undemocratic action of a government, whose legitimacy is still a mirage .
I wonder how a government will descend so low to further provoke the already outraged citizens into a show of force, without weighing the extenuating implications and consequences of its actions in a democracy, not a military dictatorship .
I weep for Nigeria in the coming days.
A bloody encounter is on the horizon .
May God arise and let ALL HIS ENEMIES AND THOSE OF HIS PEOPLE BE SCATTERED
