Hardship: Nwaodu To Tinubu, Reduce Fuel Price To N100, Things Will  Get Better In Nigeria

…Inducts Knights Of St.Philips

…Says: Igbo must not  join protests

Bishop  Festus Nwaodu of the Royal Christian  Pentecostal  Bible Church Diocese of Owerri

has urged the authorities of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently bring down the prices  of petrol to N100 per litre and other petroleum products, in order to crash the soaring prices of food and other goods and services in the country.

This is even as the cleric urged the newly inducted Knights of St Philip in his church, to see their new position as a call to serve God, the congregation, their communities and humanity, generally.

Bishop Nwaodu who spoke at the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary, said the induction of the Knights of St Philip of the church, was part of activities marking his birthday anniversary.

The cleric  admonished the newly inducted knights to use their new position to change their characters positively, take care of the church, the widows, orphans, their communities, the state, nation and even the Bishop.

The Prelate further disclosed that the choice of the newly-installed Knights, was reached after serious  prayers, adding that the newly initiated knights of St Philip were the second set so to be inducted in  the church.

On the present hardship occasioned by high prices of food and other commodities in the Nigeria , the Bishop called on the Federal Government to immediately bring down fuel price to N100 per litre, saying that every other sector would return to normalcy once petrol price came down.

Speaking further, the man of God who recalled when prices of goods and items like a bundle of zinc and a bag of Rice were sold for about N9000,  cried out that many Nigerians could hardly afford basic necessities as at today.

He expressed sadness that hope was seriously fading in the country and advised Ndigbo not to join in the hunger-induced protests spreading across the country.

Bishop  Nwaodu who maintained that the present bad economic situation in Nigeria calls for prayers and sober reflection, noted that since the Igbo were allegedly being excluded from the leadership of Nigeria, nothing seems to justify their involvement in the on-going protests.

The names the newly admitted  members of knight of St philip  (KSP) of the Royal Christian pentecostal Bible church Diocese of owerri are: Sir Chukwuemeka Ekwulonu, Dame  Eva Rose Hezekiah and Dame Ozioma Ekwulonu
