Recall that IfeanyiCy Njoku in a post on his Facebook Page, wherein he announced the death of his mother, narrated how remarkable his mother’s life and times were.
He wrote; “My mother, my friend and my first love, Ezinne Pauline Njoku had gone to rest with God her creator. Before my mother died, like her husband, she did two remarkable things.
“One, she invited me to her hospital bed where she had been receiving medical care and said, “my son, you have tried to take care of me.
“You have done everything for me. There is only one thing remaining. Do it for me before I join my creator.
“I asked what could that be mum? She said her name was shortlisted for the Ezinne title conferment/award celebration to be held at St.Theresa’s Catholic Church, Umunakanu Owerre, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State on August 20th.
“That once I do that for her, she will be happy and returned home to her God. I told her, if you get up from the hospital bed, I will celebrate the Ezinne Award programme for you.
“Surprisingly, a week after our heart to heart discussion in her hospital bed, my sister was excited to call and inform me that my mother’s health had improved, two weeks after, her team of doctors discharged her to be coming for medical check up from home.
“I phoned our Parish Priest and immediately got her registered for the Ezinne celebration. On 20th August she was conferred with the Ezinne title and I rolled the drums in her celebration
“The second remarkable encounter, one month after her Ezinne celebration she asked my elder sister (Adanne’m,) to call me and her only sister Perpetua that she wants to speak to us.
“She asked me to take care of my siblings and told her sister it’s time she goes home to God. Her sister retorted, “Daaa, you are going nowhere!”
“Unfortunately, on Sunday, November 26th, exactly 2-months after her Ezinne award conferment and celebration, she died peacefully and returned to God her creator” .
