NCDMB Boss Visits Diri, Pledges collaboratiin  With Bayelsa Govt From Agadaga  Julius Bayelsa

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe has pledged to collaborate with the Bayelsa State Government to the mutual benefit of the Board and the State.

A statement by the Corporate Communications Department of the NCDMB said Ogbe made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri at Government House, Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital, stating that the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce himself as the new Executive Secretary of the Board.

He said that he was at home in Bayelsa State to seek for collaboration with the State Government, adding :” I want to work closely with you to ensure our projects in the State are completed”.

He emphasised his determination to work with the Bayelsa Governor, stating, “If we have any difficulty, I’ll always come back to you.”

In his response, Governor  Diri assured the new Executive Secretary, whom he described as “action-packed,” that the State Government would continue to collaborate meaningfully with the NCDMB.

Diri also  said : “We have to work together to ensure that your being here will add value to the lives of the people of Bayelsa.”

He further declared, “The State Government will provide what you need to succeed,” while urging the NCDMB boss to explore areas where the Board could facilitate investment and improved business activities in the State.

Governor Diri expressed his delight at the ongoing construction of the three-star NCDMB Conference Hotel, Swali, adjacent the imposing 17-storey Nigerian Content Tower, corporate headquarters of the Board.

He noted that the facility, when completed and functional, would add to the tourist attraction of the state capital.

He drew the attention of the NCDMB Management to the long-abandoned multi-storey Tower Hotel in Yenagoa, and revealed that the State Government is looking for investors who would be willing to take it over on terms that could be negotiated.

He pleaded with the NCDMB to ensure that Bayelsa State hosts major events organised by the Board. “Let international conferences be held here in Yenagoa,” he told Engr. Ogbe.

On the entourage of the NCMDB boss were Alhaji Abdulmalik Halilu, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Naboth Onyesoh, Esq, Acting Director, Legal Services, and Mr. Esueme Dan Kikile, Esq, General Manager, Corporate Communications Department (CCD), among others.
